10 hours drive, 18 hours on the ferry - destination for gastronomy and wine lovers: Bordeaux. 
Picturesque streets of St-Emilion. This UNESCO world heritage site is scattered with some of the world's greatest vineyards. The street were desolate (being the low season), but it allowed us to leisurly absorb the beauty - the cobblestoned, boutique shop lined alleys of St-Emilion.
Wine Barrels stored in the Long Room at famous Chateau Mouton-Rothschild. The tour included it's amazing wine museum, one of Bordeaux's absolute must see wine attractions.

For any true wine lover, Bordeaux in a must-visit-before-you-die destination. A pilgrimage to the world's biggest wine region, brings you to an area where the entire population is passionate about wine. The unique terrior (pronouced "terwar" in Fr, denotes the unique geograhy/microclimate/process that give a wine it's personality) explains the mystery to such elegant wines. Each of the 56 appellations have distinctive character wines. A couple driving around in a Peugeot 206; 10,000 wine producing chateaux; 120,000ha of vines; producing 850million bottles a year. It's unimaginable. You have to see it for yourself!
