'La Vie En Rose'We were driving through tens and tens of chateaux in Bordeaux. My head was turned by this rose, so charismatically distinctive in the midst of endless yellow-leafed vines. Its colour is so intense. The way its beauty survived amongst all the insensitive, masculine shrubs was powerful but not dramatic. Its feminity is almost an introvert, yet so expressive. It's eloquent! It's brilliant! I knew my car had to stop for it.
